New Stuff

Wow. I thought I'd be better at this blogging thing, but boy was I wrong. It reminds me of when I was younger and I'd make a resolution to "write in my journal EVERYDAY!" That never happened either. Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of new things we have recently acquired.
First, we got a pet rabbit. Dayna named her Precious. She was following the rabbit around the yard and she kept saying "come here Precious" (although I am pretty sure she was really saying "come her Princess.") Anyway, Precious is the name that stuck. One thing I didn't know about rabbits is they really poop a lot. We found this out the hard way- all over our bed and MY pillow! Once they get going, they really go. Now I know why Energizer used a rabbit for their mascot. They keep going and going and going...
Here is a picture of our little "Precious."

The other thing we recently purchased is the RED ROCKET! (This isn't a great picture... Don't mind the mess in the background!)

Its a little scooter that is pretty fun. Evan drives it to work sometimes and although it takes a little longer to get there, it costs about $1.50 in gas. Go scooter! He laughs about the fact that he looks so cool a.k.a goofy on that thing. Its hard to look cool on a scooter. He was driving it the other day and pulled up right next to a big burly guy on a Harley and asked him to race. Ha ha. Only Evan! We have also been having a lot of rain so Evan has been caught in a couple of storms. Yesterday, he got caught in a hail storm. He took my car to work today. Here is a picture of him coming in from a storm. Doesn't he look cool in his helmet and glasses! I just laughed and snapped a picture. Then I made him some hot chocolate. I'm not that mean!

apparently I'm an idiot because I can't figure out how to flip this picture. Sorry!

Farm Country

On Monday we went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point with our neighbors, Susan and Parker. The kids really enjoyed it. Dayna loves animals, especially horses. She thought every horse was "her horse." She got to go on two pony rides, which she absolutely loved. She would have stayed on those little ponies all day if she could. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of her on the horse because I was standing next to her to make sure she didn't fall off. This is our cute neighbor Parker, "riding" on a sheep with Dayna.
Isn't this guy the cutest ever? He is such a happy baby! I love his little smile. While we were looking at the animals, I had to snap this picture of him. He was having a blast!

In this picture, Dayna is touching the horses nose. After that, she thought she had to touch every animals nose. The kids really liked the pigs too. Dayna has been watching "Charlotte's Web" lately so she kept pointing at the pigs and saying "thats some pid." Here Susan and Parker are feeding the pigs.
I think this is something we will have to do again. Dayna and Ethan both loved it. Thanks, Susan and Parker for inviting us to go!
